When English Is Fun, Students Start Talking

As English teachers, we know what classroom life is really like – limited preparation time, students with different language levels, and the challenge of getting everyone involved in speaking activities.

That's why we created Maturing: an educational card game for teachers who want to make their English lessons more interactive, engaging and communication-focused.

Maturing saves teachers time, encourages natural conversation and helps students speak English with more confidence, less pressure and a lot more enjoyment.

About the Game

Made in Europe

The game is printed in Europe using high-quality materials. Both the packaging and game components are recyclable, reflecting our commitment to education and a more environmentally friendly approach.

Our educational card game is a practical teaching resource that gets students actively involved in speaking English while saving teachers valuable preparation time.

We offer four different games, each focusing on a different topic commonly covered in school-leaving exams:

The Czech Republic
The United Kingdom
The USA
English-speaking Countries

What's Inside Each Game?

Each game includes 120 cards and a wooden die. The cards are divided into four categories:

Facts – questions testing students' knowledge of the topic
Fun Facts – interesting facts, surprising information and unusual questions
Speaking – questions that encourage conversation, personal opinions and self-expression
Vocabulary – activities to practise topic-related vocabulary

Bonus Game Materials

Each game also comes with a downloadable game board and bonus Spill or Act cards, adding more fun, surprises and spontaneous conversation to your English lessons.

The Spill or Act cards get students moving, talking and interacting, helping to create a relaxed and enjoyable classroom atmosphere.

How to Play

The game is simple to play and flexible enough to suit different lessons. Students roll the die, pick cards from different categories and answer the questions. Teachers can choose to play with the game board or using just the cards, depending on the time available, lesson objectives and number of students.

Students can play in pairs or small groups. The game works well as a quick warm-up, an end-of-lesson revision activity or even as the main activity for an entire lesson.

With its simple rules, Maturing helps students practise English naturally, expand their vocabulary and develop the confidence to respond in everyday conversations and school-leaving exam situations.

Testimonials & Reviews

All our English teachers are very happy with the game, and so are the students. The games are already being used in lessons.

Secondary Vocational School

Písek, Czech Republic

Maturing is the best teaching resource for learning about English-speaking countries and practising conversation that I've come across in years! The questions are really well chosen. Students have to think, actively use their vocabulary and have fun at the same time! I can't imagine my lessons without Maturing anymore. I highly recommend it to all my fellow teachers!

Grammar School

Česká Lípa, Czech Republic

A fantastic resource for English lessons. The game saves preparation time, helps students revise school-leaving exam topics and, most importantly, really gets them talking.

Business Academy

Česká Lípa, Czech Republic

I used the game with my final-year students to revise facts about the Czech Republic and English-speaking countries. They really enjoyed it! Some questions were quite challenging and they had to make educated guesses, but they didn't mind at all. I'll definitely continue using the game, both for revising individual topics or several topics together, and for introducing new topics to see how much students already know.
